Akito Watabe (JPN, Fischer skis and boots) secured his first season's success in the last individual event this year. Jørgen Gråbak (NOR, Fischer) was ranked second ahead of Alessandro Pittin (ITA, Fischer skis and boots). Eric Frenzel (GER, Fischer skis and boots) ranked fourth today and received the big crystal globe for the victory 13l14 in the overall World Cup.
PCR due to strong gusts of wind
Due to strong winds in Lugnet stadium in Falun today was no ski jumping possible and thus yesterday's provisional compatition round counted. The two best jumpers Eric Frenzel and Akito Watabe started together into cross-country race and stayed together until kilometre seven. Then the German wasn't able to follow the Japanese. Some hundred metres before finish he was caught up by chasing Jørgen Gråbak and Alessandro Pittin who came in second and third. Both started 46 and 49 seconds behind and escaped from a chasing group. Francois Braud (FRA, Fischer skis and boots) finished sixth ahead of Johannes Rydzek (GER, Fischer skis and boots). Bernhard Gruber (AUT, Fischer skis and boots) came in eighth followed by Armin Bauer (ITA, Fischer skis and boots).
