Yuki Ito (JPN, Fischer) made a podium in ski jumping World Cup in Oslo. While her compatriot Takanashi (JPN) succeeded again she finished third.
With strong head winds onto the podium
Favoured by good wind conditions (in both rounds she had most head winds) Yuki Ito realized a podium result on large hill in Oslo. Only the best 30 athletes took part and had to deal with steady changing wind conditions as well as the nordic combined athletes and many wind breaks. The 19-year-old used her good conditions for two good jumps on 122.5 and 125 metres, that's why she increased from six to three in the final round. Fourth-placed Irina Avvakumova (RUS, Fischer) clearly missed the podium by seven points. Maja Vtic (SLO, Fischer) finished sixth. Maren Lundby (NOR, Fischer) came in seventh, her team mate Gyda Enger (NOR, Fischer) dropped back from second to eighth. Jessica Jerome (USA, Fischer) was ranked tenth.
