Three Fischer eagles made the podium again also in the second competition in Hakuba (JPN). Like yesterday Tom Hilde (NOR, Fischer) claimed victory ahead of Piotr Zyla (POL, Fischer) and Taku Takuchi (JPN, Fischer).
Tom Hilde ensured the victory with two jumps off 129.5 meters and was really happy: "Today it was a bit more difficult than yesterday because if you won the day before by a relatively large margin, you have to be extra concentrated and jump extra aggressive.”

Piotr Zyla was in the lead after 132.5 meters in the first round, but then he was not able to hold on: "It was the first time that I was in the lead after the first round and I was unbelievably nervous before the second jump. However I’m very satisfied with second place today."

In third place local hero Taku Takeuchi completed the Fischer trio on the podium.

Thanks to the victory today Tom Hilde was able to improve up to second place in the Summer Grand Prix overall ranking ahead of Kamil Stoch (POL, Fischer). Thomas Morgenstern (AUT, Fischer) is still in the clear lead, even though he and Kamil Stoch didn't compete in Japan.
