Calle Halfvarsson (SWE)
Denise Herrmann (GER)
Martin Johnsrud Sundby (NOR), Petter Northug (NOR)
Alex Harvey (CAN) (l)
Josef Wenzl (GER)

Outstanding team effort of the german cross-country skier: In free sprint at second stage of Tour de Ski in Oberhof three girls plus Josef Wenzl (GER, Fischer) reached the final with the best six athletes. The victories went to the Swedes Hanna Erikson (SWE) and Calle Halfvarsson (SWE, Fischer).
Only Erikson prevented Herrmann-win
In women's final Hanna Erikson was able to score her first individual win in a World Cup race followed by Denise Herrmann (GER, Fischer) who thus missed her first triumph. The German controlled the race as well as in her previous heats when she was able to slow the pace early in the final stretch - but in the final with heavy snowfall she was overtaken by the Swede just before the stadium. "It was great to ski here in front of our audience. Of course, the conditions were not easy and the whole family in here and our great team effort is the best of all", Denise smiled over her whole face. Marit Bjørgen (NOR, Fischer skis and boots) wasn't able to fight for the victory in the final heat and finished fifth but she was able to save 18 seconds in Tour overall ranking ahead of Denise Herrmann.

Calle Halfvarsson celebrates first World Cup win
As his compatriot before Calle Halfvarsson stormed to his first ever World Cup victory in an individual event. The Swede stayed in a tactical race together with Petter Northug (NOR, Fischer skis and boots) and Martin Johnsrud Sundby (NOR, Fischer skis and boots) behind the leader - Sundby reached the heats despite a fall in the prologue. At both uphills the Swede started an attack and only Pellegrino (ITA) and Sundby were able to follow and finished second and third. Jens Eriksson (SWE, Fischer) came in fourth after the final sprint against Josef Wenzl, Petter Northug finished 30 seconds later. Today's eleventh-placed Alex Harvey (CAN, Fischer) still leads in the Tour overall ranking, 20 seconds ahead of Calle Halfvarsson. Devon Kershaw (CAN, Fischer) and Jens Eriksson are ranked third and fourth, 21 seconds back.
