Håvard Klemetsen (NOR, Fischer) and Akito Watabe (JPN, Fischer skis and boots) made the podium at the Nordic Combined World Cup in Schonach (GER).
Strong skiing performance of Klemetsen
Håvard Klemetsen is well known as a strong ski jumper and also today he was in the lead after the jump on the Normal Hill. But he also showed a great skiing performance and was able to stay with a big group which catched him. After just a short time of recovery he was even able to follow the attack of his team mate Magnus Moan (NOR) who later won the race.

Four second behind the winner a group of four athletes fighted for the podium. Klemetsen had his nose in front ahead of Akito Watabe, Jan Schmid (NOR, Fischer skis, boots and poles) and Eric Frenzel (GER, skis and boots). Even though the German wasn't in his best shape today, it was easy for him to keep his leading position in the Overall World Cup. Bernhard Gruber (AUT, Fischer skis and boots) finished in sixth place, Mikko Kokslien (NOR, skis and boots) ranked 8th ahead of  Hideaki Nagai (JPN, Fischer skis and boots).
