In free sprint races in Davos Marit Bjørgen (NOR, Fischer skis and boots) and Anders Gløersen (NOR, Fischer) captured victories. Five out of six athletes cheered with Fischer skis on podium.
Another victory for Bjørgen, strong performance by Herrmann
In women's final Marit Bjørgen and Denise Herrmann (GER, Fischer) skied at the end of the group first and increased spot by spot during the second rotation up to the current leaders Stina Nilsson (SWE, Fischer) and Kikkan Randall (USA, Fischer). At the final uphill Randall, Bjørgen and Herrmann were able to open a gap, head-to-head the Norwegian and the US-girl sprinted for the victory - with a tight success for Bjørgen which means her first free sprint win sice 2012. "I had a good feeling before the race and felt strong. Already in the semi final I noticed a strong skiing Kikkan and the final was very close. It was my ninth victory in Davos. I am always strong in this altitude and I am very happy with my weekend", the Norwegian stated. Denise Herrmann wasn't able to reach the two top sprinters and secured her second carreer's podium.Vesna Fabjan (SLO, Fischer) came in fifth followed by junior World Champion Stina Nilsson.

Gløersen edged out his opponents
In men's final Anders Gløersen was able to edge out all his opponents. The Norwegian took the lead from Alexey Petukhov (RUS, Fischer skis and boots) after the first rotation and stayed in the lead until the end. In the final stretch he sprinted out best-qualifier Martti Jylhä (FIN). Sergey Ustiugov (RUS, Fischer skis and boots) jubilated about his podium which means a small victory against his compatriot Petukhov in their fight for a Olympic sprint ticket. Finn Hågen Krogh (NOR, Fischer) just reached the final after an opponent's reclassification and finished fifth.
