Severin Freund (GER, Fischer) celebrated victory at long hill in Lillehammer followed by Anders Bardal (NOR, Fischer) and Daiki Ito (JPN, Fischer).
Exciting final round
Severin Freund left it late: The Bavarian was the best athlete in the first round and the last one to jump in the final and showed a great jump at 137 metres. With that he jumped one metre less than Anders Bardal, but the fifth-placed after the first round stayed behind the German due to his disadvantage after the first round and the German realized his first season's win. Third went to Daiki Ito ahead of his compatriot Noriaki Kasai (JPN, Fischer). Thomas Morgenstern (AUT, Fischer) was the only one who waved the Austrian flag in the top spots. Piotr Zyla (POL, Fischer) finished sixth ahead of Robert Kranjec (SLO, Fischer) and Taku Takeuchi (POL, Fischer). Janne Ahonen (FIN, Fischer) and Dmitry Vassiliev (RUS, Fischer) were ranked ninth and tenth.
