Ukrainian biathletes with a complete Fischer-team consisting of Juliya Dzhyma (UKR, Fischer skis and boots), Vita and Valj Semerenko (both UKR, Fischer) and Olena Pidhrushna (UKR, Fischer skis and boots) celebrated victory in women's relay in Hochfilzen ahead of Germany and France. In men's relay the Norwegians Vetle Sjåstad Christiansen (NOR, Fischer), Ole Einar Bjørndalen (NOR), Tarjei Bø (NOR, Fischer) and Emil Hegle Svendsen (NOR) won ahead of Sweden and Russia.
Strong team performance
Ukrainian biathlon girls showed a great team performance in Hochfilzen relay and succeeded nearly one minute ahead of team Germany with Franziska Preuß (GER, Fischer) , Andrea Henkel (GER, Fischer skis and boots), Franziska Hildebrand (GER) and Laura Dahlmeier (GER, Fischer skis and boots) as well as team France Brunet/Boilley/Chevalier/Bescond. The Ukrainian quartet captured just three spare rounds while Germany had to compensate even a penalty loop. Olena Pidhrushna crossed the line without any problems carrying the Ukrainian flag while Laura Dahlmeier and Anais Bescond fighted for the podium spots: The German youngster attacked at the last uphill and the Frenchwoman wasn#T able to follow. The Russians with Ekaterina Glazyrina and Ekaterina Shumilova (both RUS, Fischer) had to compensate a penalty as well and finished only fourth.

Norwegians enforced
First team Norway fell behind 30 seconds due to four spare rounds of Christiansen but already Tarjei Bø went to the top. After crossing the line the team was round about 20 seconds ahead of the Swedes Christofer Eriksson (SWE), Björn Ferry (SWE, Fischer skis and boots), Fredrik Lindström (SWE, Fischer skis and boots) and Carl Johan Bergman (SWE) as well as the Russians Alexey Volkov (RUS, Fischer), Evgeny Ustyugov (RUS, Fischer skis and boots), Anton Shipulin (RUS, Fischer skis and boots) and Dmitry Malyshko (RUS, Fischer). The Austrians Christoph Sumann (AUT), Daniel Mesotitsch (AUT, Fischer skis and boots), Dominik Landertinger (AUT) and Simon Eder (AUT, Fischer skis and boots) had to be content with fourth spot in front of their home crowd.
