VERONIKA VITKOVA MAKES A PODIUM IN SPRINT IN HOCHFILZEN

Veronika Vitkova (CZE, Fischer skis and boots) celebrated a podium result in sprint race at biathlon World Cup in Hochfilzen. In men's sprint Tarjei Boe (NOR, Fischer) became best Fischer athlete finishing fourth.
Podium without any miss
Veronika Vitkova made a podium for the second time in her biathlon carreer. The Czech stayed without any miss at the shooting range despite snowfall any changing wind conditions and was just 1.2 seconds behind Swiss Selina Gasparin (SUI) who scred her first victory today. Tora Berger (NOR, Fischer skis, boots and poles) missed two targets at her standing stage and came in just six seconds behind the winner finishing fourth ahead of Juliya Dzhyma (UKR, Fischer skis and boots). Weronika Nowakowska-Ziemnika (POL, Fischer) was ranked ninth followed by Olena Pidhrushna (UKR, Fischer skis und boots).

Tarjei Boe missed the podium
Despite his clear shooting and second-fastest skiing performance Tarjei Boe wasn't able to make a podium. The Norwegian took his time for hitting the targets and therefor he was 17 seconds behind the outstanding fast skiing Lars Berger (NOR) who succeeded despite two misses. Serhiy Semenov (UKR, Fischer) came in ninth, Daniel Böhm (GER, Fischer skis and boots) finished within top ten after anew clear shooting.
