DARYA DOMRACHEVA SUCCEEDS IN INDIVIDUAL AND RECIEVES HER SECOND OLYMPIC TITLE

Darya Domracheva (BLR) is Olympic Champion in individual compatition. The Belarussian succeeded in 15k race ahead of Selina Gasparin (SUI) and Nadezhda Skardino (BLR).
Domracheva unbeatable again
After her ninth rank in sprint and Olympic title in pursuit Darya Domracheva was unbeatable also in individual event with 15k skiing and four shootings. Indeed the Belarussian collected one penalty she won with more than one minute advantage against Selina Gasparin although the Swiss hit all targets. "This means a lot for me. A childhood ambition became true. First pursuit and now the second Olympic triumph. I felt very concentrated and self-confident", the Olympic Champion was all smiling. Bronce went to her as well clean shooting fellow Nadezhda Skardino. Gabriela Soukalova (CZE) missed her first Olympic podium finishing fourth as in pursuit. Anaïs Bescond (FRA) could be satisfied with her fifth spot ahead of Veronika Vitkova (CZE). Ukrainia's Juliya Dzhyma (UKR) and Olena Pidhrushna (UKR) came in seventh and eighth followed by Kaisa Mäkäräinen (FIN) and Krystyna Palka (POL).
