Eric Frenzel (GER, Fischer skis and boots) celebrated victory in overall ranking of first edition of nordic combined triples in Seefeld after his successes in stage one and two. Second went to Håvard Klemetsen (NOR, Fischer).
Unchallenged success
Eric Frenzel nearly skied a wire-to-wire success in last stage of nordic combined triple. After two jumps at normal hill in Seefeld and added results from stages one and two the German started with a ten-seconds-disadvantage to Klemetsen into 15k cross-country race. But he caught up the Norwegian just after 1.5 kilometres and extended his lead more and more. "I knew very early that everything will turn out well. I was able to keep my advantage and therefore I could enjoy the last two rotations", Frenzel said. Klemetsen was able to save his second spot with a few seconds advantage to his chasers. Fourth went to Johannes Rydzek (GER, Fischer skis and boots) who was able to catch up 50 seconds against his team mate in today's race. Alessandro Pittin (ITA, Fischer skis and boots) increased to seventh spot followed by Akito Watabe (JPN, Fischer skis and boots). Mikko Kokslien (NOR, Fischer skis and boots) finished tenth.
