Eric Frenzel (GER, Fischer skis and boots) secured victory in first stage of newly-created nordic combined triple in Seefeld.
Three competitions within three days with an overall winner
Eric Frenzel is the winner of the first stage of nordic combined triple in Seefeld where an overall winner is declared after three competitions. Today's event consists of one jump at normal hill and a short race with just five kilometres length. Frenzel was in second position after skijumping, 14 seconds behind Håvard Klemetsen and he caught up the Norwegian after half of the race. The German extended his lead up to 15 seconds against his chaser and could ski relaxed during the last metres. Klemetsen finished fourth with a eleven seconds disadvantage followed by Johannes Rydzek (GER, Fischer skis and boots). Akito Watabe (JPN, Fischer skis and boots) came in seventh, Ilkka Herola (FIN, Fischer skis and boots) tenth.
