At biathlon World Cup in Ruhpolding Alexey Volkov (RUS, Fischer) was shortly beaten in individual event. As well third spot went to a Russian biathlete, Evgeny Ustyugov (RUS, Fischer skis and boots).
Anew second spot for Volkov
After his great race in mass start in Oberhof Alexey Volkov was able to celebrate another second place in individual event in Ruhpolding. The Russian hit all 20 targets and was 14.4 seconds behind Emil Hegle Svendsen (NOR) after crossing the line. Just behind his compatriot Evgeny Ustyugov finished third with one penalty. Jakov Fak (SLO, Fischer) came in fourth but he lost the victory with one miss in his last standing stage. Dmitry Malyshko (RUS, Fischer) was ranked sixth followed by Simon Fourcade (FRA, Fischer skis and boots) and Johannes Thingnes Bø (NOR, Fischer). Jaroslav Soukup (CZE, Fischer skis and boots) finished tenth.
