Petter Northug (NOR, Fischer skis and boots) secured his first season's win in 10k classic race at pre-last stage of Tour de Ski. Martin Johnsrud Sundby (NOR, Fischer skis and boots) finished second. Therese Johaug (NOR, Fischer skis and boots) dominated women's classical stage of Tour de Ski in Val di Fiemme. Anne Kyllönen (FIN, Fischer skis and boots) finished third.
Norwegians unbeatable
Team Norway was unbeatable in today's classic individual race with wet conditions and challenging waxing conditions. After Petter Northug "worked" for his fellow Sundby as announced before and did nothing to shorten Sundby's advantage he showed an excellent performance today and won 9.7 seconds ahead of Sundby. For a while Northug fighted against problems and didn't look that good but at the end he enlarged his lead again. "With each race my shape is becoming better and better. It was the best race of my winter so far. At the end I was very tired but I gave everything", Northug stated. "The last years evryone laughed about me in the final climb but towmorrow I want to show my best Alpe Cermis effort so far." Fourth went to Sjur Røthe (NOR, Fischer), 29 seconds back. Alex Harvey (CAN, Fischer) finished fifth ahead of Hannes Dotzler(GER, Fischer). Johannes Dürr (AUT, Fischer) showed a great performance again and came in seventh.

Preview for tomorrow: Norwegiand overall win to come
Looking on the overall Tour de Ski ranking before tomorrow's final climb a Norwegian victory seems to be safe. But Northug as well as Sundby are not known as specialists as Alpe Cermis. Is that the chance for Johannes Dürr? The Austrian should be the best skater at Alpe Cermis in the first spots, with a two minute disadvantage he is in fifth position before the last stage. Northug is second with a 48 seconds gap followed by Jespersen (NOR) and Harvey, 1:26 and 1:44 minutes back.

No chance for Jacobsen against Johaug
Therese Johaug dominated the whole 5k classic race and was 14.9 seconds ahead of her fellow Astrid Uhrenholdt Jacobsen (NOR). The fight between the Finn Anne Kyllönen and Kerttu Niskanen (FIN, Fischer skis and boots) was very close: During the whole race Kyllönen was not more than four seconds ahead of her compatriot. Niskanen who started a bit slower increased her pace more and more but it was not enough to reach Kyllönen - 0.5 seconds were between the Finns.

Preview for tomorrow: Johaug facing overall win
With a just 23 seconds disadvantage behind Astrid Jacobsen the first overall win for Therese Johaug seems to be safe because the lightweight is the fastest girl at Alpe Cermis for years. Even if she seems to be in her best shape. Behind her a lot is possible: Jacobsen belongs to the fastest skiers but she lost between 1.5 (2013) and nearly three minutes (2011) in the last three years at Alpe Cermis. Behind them the Finns Anne Kyllönen (+1:31 minutes), Kerttu Niskanen (+1:52 minutes) and Krista Lähteenmäki (FIN) as well as Heidi Weng (NOR) are lurking for the next spots.
