Moravec jubilates about his podium
Ondrej Moravec celebrated his first podium ever in a biathlon World Cup race at Pokljuka, Slovenia, and didn't let the rainy weather ruin his mood. The Czech missed only one target in the last standing stage and increased from eight to two. Fredrik Lindström (SWE, Fischer skis and boots) improved from ten to five ahead of Evgeny Ustyugov (RUS, Fischer skis and boots). Andrejs Rastorgujevs (LAT, Fischer skis and boots) surprised with only one miss and position ten after his 38. spot in sprint race.

Victory in pursuit despite five penalties
Women's pursuit became a very exciting competition: Gabriela Soukalova and Miriam Gössner were almost tied at start but while the Czech shot absolutely clear Gössner had to compensate alltogether five penalty loops. After shooting the German alsways lost the contact to her opponent but she fighted in skiing and always overtook the Czech before arriving at the shooting range. Same at last loop and Gössner jubilated for her first victory ever ahead of
accurate shooting Soukalova. Olena Pidhrushna (UKR, Fischer skis, boots and poles) came in third after clear shooting and her 26th rank in sprint ahead of Veronika Vitkova (CZE, Fischer skis and boots) and Nadezhda Skardino (BLR, Fischer skis, boots and poles). Seventh went to Andrea Henkel (GER, Fischer skis and boots) followed by Vita Semerenko (UKR, Fischer), Tora Berger (NOR, Fischer skis, boots and poles) and Olga Vilukhina (RUS, Fischer).
