Andreas Kofler (AUT)
Richard Freitag (GER)

Andreas Kofler (AUT, Fischer) secured victory in second event at olympic hill in Sochi. The Austrian won ahead of Richard Freitag (GER, Fischer).
Kofler has a drop on all the others
According to two great jumps Andreas Kofler was able to leave the strong German team behind. The Austrian showed the best jumps in each round and stayed ahead of Richard Freitag, best one of four Germans within top six. "I'm really happy about the success today. I had good jumps, it was amazing. My goal was to jump better than yesterday and so I could also improve the result. The team is well prepared and they did a good job yesterday, but if you don't have two good jumps in the competition it 's difficult to be in the Top 10. Russia is a really nice country. I like the combination of sea and mountains here in Sochi", Kofler said. Fourth went to Anders Bardal (NOR, Fischer) followed by Severin Freund (GER, Fischer) and his young compatriot Karl Geiger (GER, Fischer). Simon Ammann (SUI, Fischer) came in eighth ahead of Reruhi Shimizu (JPN, Fischer) and Andreas Wank (GER, Fischer).
