Bernhard Gruber and Mario Stecher (both AUT, Fischer skis and boots) celebrated victory in team sprint in nordic combined in Kuusamo ahead of Norway II.
Austria always in the lead
Austrians Gruber and Stecher celebrated a start-to-finish victory in skiing after two great jumps. Although they lost a few seconds in their last laps it was enough to stay ahead of Norwegians Haavard Klemetsen (NOR, Fischer) and Mikko Kokslien (NOR, Fischer skis and boots). Third went to Frenchmen followed by Slovenians with Marjan Jelenko (SLO, Fischer) and Japanese Watabe-brothers Yoshito and Akito (both JPN, Fischer skis and boots) who lost contact to the Norwegians in the last laps.
