And the winner is... Fischer's Speedmax Skate, which convinced the jury in the red dot design award and emerged as the "best of the best". With its new generation of racing skis the family-owned company demonstrated premium standards in design on an international scale. The reward: the jury of 37 experts has presented Fischer the "red dot: best of best" award in recognition of its ingenious and highly impressive product creation. A total of 4,662 products were entered for the red dot award: product design 2013 but only a select few had the honour of being considered for the top award in one of the world's most renowned competitiions.
Speedmax Skate stands for the new generation of racing skis for top athletes and competition-oriented cross country skiers. It stands out through unrivalled gliding properties thanks to ground-breaking Cold Base Bonding technology: a revolutionary production process which retains the homogeneity of the original molecular structures of the base by avoiding the combination of heat and pressure when the base is added. The hole construction in the tip also reduces the dynamic swingweight. The outstanding speed and value of the product are reflected in its looks. Used for the first time, matt/glossy effects with subtle lines and a clear design statement discreetly underline the quality and extremely sporty elegance of the ski.
After the resounding sporting successes at the World Championships in Val di Fiemme and Nove Mesto, winning the prestigious design award "red dot: best of the best" underlines not only the fact that the inner technical merits of Speedmax Skate are convincing but also that the design statement meets exacting requirements.
