RYDZEK/FRENZEL SECURE AN EASY VICTORY IN TEAM SPRINT IN LAHTI
Johannes Rydzek (GER, Fischer skis and boots) and Eric Frenzel (GER, Fischer skis and boots) celebrated 10x1.5k team sprint victory with each one jump without any problems. Second place went to France I (Braud/Lamy Chappuis) ahead of Germany II (Edelmann/Riessle).
Easy speed during the last laps
After two very good jumps Johannes Rydzek and Eric Frenzel started 18 seconds ahead against the first chasers from Japan with Taihei Kato (JPN, Fischer skis and boots) and Akito Watabe (JPN, Fischer skis and boots) into cross-country race and increased their lead against the chasing group of six up to 50 seconds. So they were able to controll the pace during their last laps and they won 21 seconds ahead of Francois Braud (FRA, Fischer skis and boots) and his compatriot Jason Lamy Chappuis (FRA) who left their five opponents behind in the final sprint. Third went to team Germany consisting of Tino Edelmann (GER) and Fabian Riessle (GER, Fischer skis and boots) although Riessle almost fell in the final stretch. But the Norwegian Mikko Kokslien (NOR, Fischer skis and boots) who was in a team with Haavard Klemetsen (NOR, Fischer) wasn't able to benefit of it. Further spots came to Austria I (Bieler/Denifl), Japan I along with Kato and Watabe and Austria II along with Lukas Klapfer (AUT) and Bernhard Gruber (AUT, Fischer skis and boots)
