After two jumps with up- respectively backwinds the Norwegian was 4.2 points ahead of Gregor Schlierenzauer who missed out 100 metres in both rounds due to less inrun length. Severin Freund (GER, Fischer) shortly missed the podium finishing fourth just two points behind bronce medal. Defending champion Thomas Morgenstern (AUT, Fischer) showed a better performance after his training break and came in fifth ahead of Richard Freitag (GER, Fischer) and Taku Takeuchi (JPN, Fischer).
