Norwegian skijumpers Anders Jacobsen (NOR), Tom Hilde (NOR, Fischer), Anders Bardal (NOR, Fischer) and Andreas Stjernen (NOR, Fischer) secured an invulnerably victory in team flying event in Oberstdorf. They sent team Austria and team Slovenia to the following spots.
Four teams fight for victory
Just before the World Championships many top athletes missed skiflying competition. So there were only four teams (Norway, Slovenia, Austria and locals from Germany) with their best athletes and left the other four teams more than 150 points behind. So team Norway was in a class of their own and secured victory with a nearly 50 points advantage ahead of Austria consisting of Stefan Kraft (AUT, Fischer), Wolfgang Loitzl (AUT), Martin Koch (AUT, Fischer) and Gregor Schlierenzauer (AUT, Fischer). Austria came in six points ahead of Slovenia with Jurij Tepes (SLO, Fischer), Robert Kranjec (SLO, Fischer), Jaka Hvala (SLO) and Peter Prevc (SLO) and eight points ahead of local heroes Michael Neumayer (GER, Fischer), Andreas Wank (GER, Fischer), Richard Freitag (GER, Fischer) and Severin Freund (GER, Fischer).
