At the Skimarathon European Championships in Gsieser Tal the Fischer Subaru racing Team took the titel as Team European Champion. Jessica Müller (GER, Fischer skis and boots) and Jiri Rocarek (CZE, Fischer skis, boots and poles) became individual European Champions. Both were the fastest in the combi ranking of the two races at the "Gsieser Tal Lauf".
At the first day of the "Gsieser Tal Lauf" the classic races took place. Over the short distance of 30 kilometer Jiri Rocarek had to accept shortly defeat and took second place ahead of his mate from the Fischer Subaru Racing Team Michael Eberharter (AUT, Fischer skis, boots and poles). Thomas Freimuth (GER, Fischer) shortly missed the podium in fourth place. On the womens side Jessica Müller claimed a clear victory ahead of Klara Moravcova (CZE, Fischer) absetzen. She crossed the finishline 2:25. Andrea Reithmayr (AUT, Fischer) finished in third place.
At the second day was the 42 kilometer in free technique. Roland Clara (ITA, Fischer skis and boots) claimed superior victory ahead of Cristian Zorzi (ITA) and the new Skimarathon European Champion Jiri Rocarek. Michael Eberharter took fourth place ahead of Toni Escher (GER, Fischer skis, boots and poles). Thomas Freimuth finished in seventh place. On the womens side Antonella Confortola (ITA, Fischer) took a clear victory ahead of Jessica Müller, who was able to celebrate the title of Skimarathon European Champion. Klara Moravcova completed the Fischer podium in third place.
The Fischer Subaru Racing Team claimed victory in the overall ranking during the two days as Team European Champion with the racers Jiri Rocarek (1.), Michael Eberharter (2.) and Benjamin Seifert (6.).Results European ChampionshipsResults Gseiser Tal Lauf overview
