RICHARD FREITAG WINS SKIFLYING EVENT IN OBERSTDORF
Richard Freitag (GER, Fischer) celebrated victory in last sinle event before the World Championships, the skifyling event in Oberstdorf. The German eagle won ahead of Andreas Stjernen (NOR, Fischer) and Gregor Schlierenzauer (AUT, Fischer).
Freitag in a top shape
Richard Freitag showed once more that his shape is increasing more and more before the World ChampionshipsThe Saxon jumped 209 and 206.5 metres and succeeded by a hair's breadth with 0.3 points ahead of Andreas Stjernen which means Freitag's second World Cup win ever. Gregor Schlierenzauer made another podium in finishing third - just 0.8 points behind the winner. Daiki Ito (JPN, Fischer) came in sixth and seems to get his top shape just before the World Championships. He left Tom Hilde (NOR, Fischer) and Robert Kranjec (SLO, Fischer) behind. Ninth and tenth went to Severin Freund (GER, Fischer) and his compatriot Michael Neumayer (GER, Fischer).
