NORWAY STORMS TO FIRST GOLD MEDAL IN MIXED RELAY
Team Norway consisting of Tora Berger (NOR, Fischer skis, boots and poles), Synnoeve Solemdal (NOR), Tarjei Boe (NOR, Fischer) and Emil Hegle Svendsen (NOR) celebrated World championship title in mixed relay in Nove Mesto followed by France and Czech Republic.
Third gold medal in a row
For the third time in a row Norway caught mixed relay's gold medal, They shot just four spare rounds and therefore they were unbeatable. The quartet was 20 seconds ahead of France along with Brunet/Dorin Habert/Boeuf/M.Fourcade who missed eight targets. Third went to local heroes from Czech Rebulic. Veronika Vitkova (CZE, Fischer skis and boots), Gabriela Soukalova (CZE, Fischer skis and boots), Jaroslav Soukup (CZE, Fischer skis and boots) and Ondrej Moravec (CZE, Fischer) failed only five times and jubilated about theit first medal in front of their home crowd in Nove Mesto. Co-favorites from Russia and Germany each picked up a penalty and wasn't able to fight for medals any longer.
