German nordic combined team Manuel Faisst (GER, Fisacher Ski und Schuhe), Johannes Rydzek (GER, Fischer skis and boots), Björn Kircheisen (GER, Fischer skis and boots) and Eric Frenzel (GER, Fischer skis and boots)celebrated victory in team event in Sochi followed by France and Austria.
Trio controlls the race
After the skijump the three favorites from Germany, Austria and France were close together so during the first kilometre a trio was formed in leading position who always looked at each other. Then Björn Kircheisen suddenly forced the pace so he was able to send  Eric Frenzel with a 13 second advantage into his race. Frenzel soon lost the advantage again so the three guys looked at aech other afresh. Shortly ahead of the stadium Eric Frenzel tried to attack and only Jason Lamy Chappuis (FRA) was able to follow. Lamy was sent into his race by his compatriot Maxime Laheurte (FRA, Fischer skis and boots) but in the final strech Lamy had not enough energies left. Third went to Austria with Bernhard Gruber (AUT, Fischer skis and boots) followed by Norway along with their Fischer athletes Magnus Krog (NOR, Fischer), Jan Schmid (NOR, Fischer skis, boots and poles), Mikko Kokslien (NOR, Fischer skis and boots) and Jörgen Graabak (NOR, Fischer).
