Gregor Schlierenzauer (AUT, Fischer) secured his 46th World Cup victory ever at skiflying World Cup in Vikersund. Simon Ammann (SUI, Fischer) came in second followed by skiflying Worldchampion Robert Kranjec (SLO, Fischer).
46 victories as Nykänen
With today's success Gregor Schlierenzauer matched up with the Finn Matti Nykänen who dominated his sport in the 80's in World Cup wins. The Austrian scored the longest jumps in both rounds with 216,5 and 240,0 metres but in the final he wasn't able to do a telemark. Due to his lower style points it became very tight between him and Simon Ammann who finished just 0,5 points behind Schlierenzauer after 215,5 and 219,5 metres. Third went to Robert Kranjec, further 0,6 points back. After great training efforts Andreas Stjernen (NOR, Fischer) made sure in the competition rounds as well and finished fourth ahead of the Polish Kamil Stoch and Piotr Zyla (both POL, Fischer). Michael Neumayer (GER, Fischer) was ranked eighth followed by Jurij Tepes (SLO, Fischer) and Severin Freund (GER, Fischer).
