Anton Shipulin (RUS, Fischer Ski und Schuhe) reproduced yesterday's success of his sister Anastasiya Kuzmina (SVK, Fischer): He celebrated victory in sprint race in Anterselva.
Anterselva specialist succeeds again
Anton Shipulin demonstrated again that he is specialized for Anterselva's high altitude: The Russian mad a podium four times within his last five individual races there. Shipulin cleared all targets and skied the third-fastest time of all athletes so nobody was able to beat him. He secured victory 12.8 seconds ahead of Svendsen (NOR) and Jakov Fak (SLO, Fischer), 20 seconds behind, both scored one penalty. Fourth went to Andreas Birnbacher (GER, Fischer), only 0.7 seconds behind Fak. Daniel Mesotitsch (AUT, Fischer skis and boots) came in eighth, Jaroslav Soukup (CZE, Fischer skis and boots) finished tenth after his serious mountainbike-crash last summer.
