NORWEGIAN RELAYS CELEBRATE VICTORIES IN HOCHFILZEN
Norwegian women and men relay teams secured victories in Hochfilzen. With Fischer skis there were Elise Ringen (NOR, Fischer skis, boots and poles), Tora Berger (NOR, Fischer skis, boots and poles) and Tarjei Boe (NOR, Fischer) in the winning teams.
Boe happy after standing shooting
Tarjei Boe already cheered after his successful standing shooting. He celebrated victory with his Norwegian team ahead of Russia and France. Together their opponents Norway arrived at the last exchange and Boe showed a great performance with clear shootings so he could finish first.
Russia came in second with Fischer-athletes Andrei Makoveev, Evgeny Ustyugov (both Fischer skis and boots) and Dmitry Malyshko (Fischer). "I don't think that I am the best russian athlete at the moment. We try
to do our best although our stars are at home. I think the overall
result shows the true strength of our team", said Makoveev.
France finished third with Vincent Jay and Simon Fourcade (both Fischer skis and boots) who opened the race for their team.
Norwegian girls ahead of France and Russia
The Norwegian team with Elise Ringen and Tora Berger celebrated victory because of Bergers great skiing performance. After the last shooting Norway and France were still together but Berger was much faster than Dorin Habert. At the end Norway was 13 seconds ahead.
Russia came in third 29 seconds behind with Svetlana Sleptsova (RUS, Fischer) who opened the race for her team and Anna Bogaliy-Titovets (RUS, Fischer) as third leg racer.
