Fischer-skiers were successful again at the teamsprints in Duesseldorf . Maiken Caspersen Falla (NOR, Fischer) and Jesper Modin (SWE, Fischer) secured victories with their team mates.
Four Fischer-ladies on podium
Norwegian team (Eide/Falla) celebrated victory in Duesseldorf ahead of USA and Russia. In the last lap Maiken Caspersen Falla attacked and opened a little gap. She finished ahead of yesterday's winner Kikkan Randall (USA, Fischer). Russian Fischer-ladies Natalia Korosteleva und Natalia Matveeva (both Fischer) finished third. "It was a fantastic race. I felt good and pushed hard at the little "mountain" to get a gap. I was a bit surprised that nobody could follow but for sure I was happy about that. It was a great victory", said Maiken Falla.
Jesper Modin wins for team Sweden
Jesper Modin (SWE, Fischer) celebrated victory together with his team mate Teodor Peterson. Peterson and Alexey Petukhov (RUS, Fischer skis and boots) opened a gap in the last lap and the Swede proved to be better than Petukhov in the final stretch. "It was a great race. Team sprint is always a bit challenging with so many racers but it was fun here with all the spectators that cheered for us. I tried to do my best to stay out of trouble. I am very satisfied about my first ever World Cup victory", Modin said. Ola Vigen Hattestad (NOR, Fischer skis and boots) finished third although he nearly closed the gap in die final stretch.
