Akito Watabe (Fischer skis and boots) jumps on the podium at the World Cup in Kuusamo and achieved his best World Cup result.
Watabe from six to two
A strong wind influenced the competition at the ski jump. Akito Watabe benefitted from his luck and had a good jump, letting him start 60 seconds behind the leader into the 10 kilometres. Together with strong skiers he closed the gap to leading Tino Edelmann (GER) and finished 2nd. Today's winner was Norwegian Magnus Krog ahead of Akito Watase and Tino Edelmann. Mario Stecher (AUT, Fischer skis and boots) who started together with his brand mate finished 4th place after suffering from an injury in the summer. Janne Ryynanen (FIN) and Björn Kircheisen (GER, both Fischer skis and boots) finished fifth and seventh. Mikko Kokslien (NOR, Fischer skis and boots) came in eighth.
