Domracheva cheers with Belarussian flag
It became a kind of triumph race for Darya Domracheva who finished first after two penalties, 24 seconds ahead, wit the Belarussian flag - although she didn't made it in Overall ranking. The Belarussian was born in Minsk (now Belarus, former USSR) but she grew up near Khanty-Mansiysk, so she was celebrated by the Russian fans today. "It was a tight fight at the last standing stage an I am happy having managed the last shooting. It is something special for me because I lived here for 13 years. Magdalena is very strong and we all have to compliment her on winning the Overall ranking", Domracheva said. Kaisa Mäkäräinen and Vita Semerenko had to ski only two penalty loops, too, which brought them a podium result ahead of Magdalena Neuner who missed five targets. "I am a smiling fourth-placed. I skied well but I lost my concentration in shooting", Neuner said. Tora Berger (NOR, Fischer skis, boots and poles) finished fifth, Andrea Henkel (GER, Fischer skis and boots) came in seventh and Krystyna Palka (POL, Fischer) tenth.
