AUSTRIAN FISCHER-EAGLES WIN LAST TEAM EVENT THIS SEASON
Austrian ski jumper did it again and dominated ski flying team competition in Planica in line-up with Thomas Morgenstern, Andreas Kofler, Gregor Schlierenzauer and Martin Koch (all AUT, Fischer). After two rounds they were clearly ahead of Norway and Germany.
At the beginning of the competition it seemed as if team Norway in line-up with Fischer-athletes Rune Velta, Bjoern Einar Romoeren and Anders Bardal (all NOR, Fischer) would be able to stay in contact to the Austrians though Thomas Morgenstern showed a shorter jump at the beginning. But during the competition Austria became better and better and they extended their lead up to 76 points. Third went to Germany in line-up with Severin Freund, Andreas Wank and Richard Freitag (all GER, Fischer) who stayed twelve points ahead of the Slovenian Fischer jumper Jurij Tepes and Robert Kranjec (both SLO, Fischer) and their team mates.
