Arnd Peiffer (GER, Fischer) shortly missed the victory on his favorite tracks in Khanty Mansiysk. Fredrik Lindström (SWE, Fischer skis and boots) came in third. Magdalena Neuner (GER, Fischer skis and boots) celebrated her 34th World Cup victory in sprint race in Khanty Mansiysk. Due to her success she extended her lead in the Overall ranking ahead of Darya Domracheva (BLR, Fischer skis and boots) who finished third behind Vita Semerenko (UKR, Fischer).
Peiffer on podium again
Arnd Peiffer showed again that he is always one of the favorites in Khanty-Mansiysk. The athlete from Upper Harz was only beaten by triple-Worldchampion Martin Fourcade. After ten kilometres the Frenchman was only 5.3 seconds ahead of Arnd Peiffer who set the fastest skiing time and had to compensate one penalty. "I am satisfied with my race. It's no problem to be beaten by Martin - he is the best one at the moment. I was the best one in skiing and missed only one target. I am happy to be on the podium again", Peiffer smiled. "I like Khanty-Mansiysk, the tracks suit me well and I like Khanty-Mansiysk in general." Fredrik Lindström shot clean as Fourcade and was able to reach a podium after his bronze medal in Ruhpolding. Tarjei Boe (NOR, Fischer) finished sixth, Jakov Fak (SLO, Fischer) came in tenth.

Neuner unbeatable in skiing
Due to a great skiing performance round about 30 seconds ahead of all opponents Magdalena Neuner was unbeatable in her thirdlast race in her biathlon carreer. The Bavarian had to ski two penalty loops and although she stayed 3.2 seconds ahead of Vita Semenrenko who shot clean. Darya Domracheva finished third after one miss, 16 seconds back. Neuner herself doesn't think she is beatable in Overall ranking. "There was a lot of stress during the last weeks and much pressure. Just here in Khanty where it was less stress I noticed the pressure during the last weeks. Here I was able to ski without any pressure and there is a lot energy left", she said. Kaisa Mäkäräinen (FIN, Fischer skis and boots) came in fourth followed by Helena Ekholm (SWE, Fischer skis and boots) who skied her thirdlast race either. Andrea Henkel (GER, Fischer skis and boots) finished sixth shortly before season's end withour being satisfied with her skiing performance. Tora Berger (NOR, Fischer skis, boots and poles) was ranked seventh followed by Jana Gerekova (SVK, Fischer).
