Norway shows great catch-up
Although Norwegian team started with a lot of bad luck after their first athlete Bjoerndalen picked up one penalty they never gave up the race. They started a great catch-up and their third athlete Tarjei Boe almost closed the gap to the leading group. Silver medal went to Frenchmen with Simon Fourcade who were in the lead for a long time. Norwegians claimed victory with a 30 second margin against France, bronze went to Germany, 52 seconds back - after a "solid race", Andreas Birnbacher (GER, Fischer) told. In line-up with his brand mates Simon Schempp and Arnd Peiffer (both GER, Fischer) he could be happy with his medal. The Austrians in line-up with Simon Eder and Daniel Mesotitsch (both AUT, Fischer skis and boots) finished fifth with only three spare rounds behind the fast Italians in line-up with the Windisch brothers Dominik and Markus (both ITA, Fischer).
