The Austrian team consisting of Thomas Morgenstern, Gregor Schlierenzauer, Martin Koch and Andreas Kofler (all Fischer) has won the Normal Hill Team Competition at the World Cup in Lahti (FIN).

Short termed change of jumping hill

To avoid unfavorable wind conditions, the team competition today was quickly moved from the Large Hill to the Normal Hill in Lahti. Seems like the Austrians didn’t care about that and secured the victory by scoring 892.1 points. “It was a tough competition as we normally don’t jump on the Normal Hill”, Martin Koch said after the competition.

Germany in second place

While the Austrians always were clearly in front, the fight for the other podium places was still exciting. At the end Germany with Andreas Wank, Severin Freund, Richard Freitag (all Fischer) and Maximilian Mechler secured second place, only 0.6 points ahead of Poland. The third best team consisted of Maciej Kot, Aleksander Zniszczol, Kamil Stoch (all Fischer) and Klemens Muranka.
