Justyna Kowalczyk (POL, Fischer skis and boots) and Therese Johaug (NOR, Fischer) completed today's podium. Johan Olsson (SWE, Fischer) secured victory in men's mass start followed by Dario Cologna (SUI, Fischer) and Maxim Vylegzhanin (RUS, Fischer).
51st victory and yellow bib
It was a race like nearly every women's race: Justyna Kowalczyk kept a good pace and after five kilometres only Bjoergen and Johaug were able to follow her. Kowalczyk controlled the pace during the next kilometres and she opened a gap. Only Bjoergen was able to close the gap again. They stayed together until the last uphill when the Norwegian attacked. She stormed to her 51st World Cup win and took the Overall lead again. Therese Johaug finished third behind Bjoergen and Kowalczyk, 13 seconds back. All other ladies were more than one minute behind after 15 kilometres. Vibeke Skofterud (NOR, Fischer) crossed the line in fourth position, Charlotte Kalla (SWE, Fischer) came in sixth followed by Astrid Jacobsen (NOR, Fischer skis and boots).

Successful attack after 24 kilometres
The preliminary decision in men's mass start 30k classic was made after 24 kilometres when Johan Olsson started a successful attack and only Dario Cologna followed. Both made a gap and when the main group noticed to distance behind the leading group it was too late for them. Round about 500 metres before finish Olsson made another attack in the downhill when Cologna didn't pay attention. He secured his third World Cup victory ever, the second one this winter affected by many health problems. Dario Cologna came in second. Maxim Vylegzhanin reached third place after he tried to attack after ten kilometres together with Marcus Hellner (SWE, Fischer). Tim Tscharnke (GER, Fischer) finished seventh, ninth went to Daniel Rickardsson (SWE, Fischer skis and boots).
