The Norwegian team with Fischer-athlete Mikko Kokslien (NOR, Fischer skis and boots) celebrated victory in team sprint in Nordic Combined in Val di Fiemme due to their great skiing performance. Second and third went to France with Maxime Laheurte (FRA, Fischer skis and boots) and France 2 with Francois Braud (FRA, Fischer skis and boots).
Exciting team sprint competition
The second competition in Val di Fiemme was held as a team sprint. After the ski jump the Frenchman Laheurte and Lamy Chappuis were in the lead and they started with a 19 second gap into the cross country race. In the third lap Eric Frenzel (GER, Fischer) was able to close the gap and eight other teams followed. After seven laps Norway 1 was able to escape but Fabian Riessle (GER, Fischer skis and boots) caught up again. But at the end of the race Norway was too strond and celebrated the victory. Behind the Norwegian winners three team fighted in the final stretch and the French teams secured a podium ahead of Germany with Fischer athletes Fabian Riessle and Eric Frenzel.
