Andrei Makoveev (RUS, Fischer skis and boots) secured his first World Cup win ever in individual competition in Nove Mesto. Björn Ferry (SWE, Fischer skis and boots) finished second.
Makoveev unbeatable
Andrei Makoveev showed a great shooting performance without any penalty. This was the basis for his first victory in World Cup because noone else cleared all targets. "I was very strong today especially in the uphills and I dealed with clearing all targets. I was a bit lucky in shooting with the wind. It was the greatest victory in my carreer and I am sure it won't be the last one", said Makoveev. Björn Ferry came in third ahead of Simon Fourcade (FRA, Fischer skis and boots), Daniel Mesotitsch and Simon Eder (both AUT, Fischer skis and boots). Andreas Birnbacher (GER, Fischer) had to handle two penalty minutes and finished eighth ahead of his team mate Arnd Peiffer (GER, Fischer).
