Clear shooting
During women's sprint race in Oberhof there were very fair conditions with only light wind. So many athletes were able to finish with a clear shooting like Magdalena Neuner who made amends for her bad shooting in relay. "For me the four penalties were not the end of the world. Of course I was sad", she said. "Today I was the old Lena. You can have bad days and today was a good day. I erased the relay from my head and now I can attack again." The Bavarian was 37 seconds ahead of all the others and she secured her 27th World Cup victory. "You never get used to winning, especially not in front of such an audience in Oberhof", Neuner said. Behind her Darya Domracheva finished second with a penalty. Kaisa Mäkäräinen (FIN , Fischer skis and boots) missed the podium after two misses and came in fourth ahead of Andrea Henkel (GER, Fischer skis and boots) and Teja Gregorin (SLO, Fischer). Natalya Burdyga (UKR, Fischer skis and boots) surprised as eighth, Olga Vilukhina (RUS, Fischer skis and boots) finished tenth.
