SCHMIDHOFER (AUT) JOINS FORCES WITH FISCHER
"The time has come… I have decided to change brands and will be going into races with Fischer skis in future," says Schmidhofer. She found the equipment from the tradition-rich brand to be convincing as soon as she put it to the test earlier this year.
The two-times Junior World Champion in Super-G and Giant Slalom now wants to hit the ground running after several disappointing seasons (due to injury). Racing Director Siegi Voglreiter has high hopes for the 24-year-old: "Nici is currently ninth in the world Super-G rankings and has great potential."
Despite losing her place in the Austrian Ski Federation squad in spring 2012 the Styrian racer still made it to the podium last season in Cortina d'Ampezzo. She achieved her major goal of being part of the national team by taking a top ten place in the Super-G world rankings. Nici will once again be making her preparations together with the Austrian Ski Federation's speed group. She aims to pick up where she left off last year in Super-G and finish consistently among the top 20 in Downhill.
