LOOKING FOR A DAZZLING DISPLAY OF TRICKS? THEN TAKE A LOOK AT THIS: JOSS CHRISTENSEN ON A VISIT TO AUSTRIA
Joss Christensen, first ever Olympic slopestyle gold medallist, flew in from the US to Ahrntal where he met up with his European freestyle colleagues for a 3-day photo shoot. He also took advantage of this ideal opportunity to stop by at his Austrian equipment provider, Fischer Sports in Ried.
Following a tour of the production facility he went straight into a meeting with product managers to give his input for the new freestyle line. "We work very closely together with our athletes and develop the skis together with them. Their feedback is extremely important for us because they're the ones who are out on our skis every day, testing them in every extreme situation imaginable," says Product Manager Alpine, Gerhard Rieder.
Some may have complained about this winter - not enough snow in the northern Alps, too war, etc. But the scenery the International FISCHER Freestyle Team was facing in South Tyrol proved all the sceptics wrong: the conditions at the end of April were still amazing!
The shapers of F-TECH had set up an amazing kicker: 23m flat allowing jumps up to 35m. And the crew with Joss, Lukas Müllauer, Christian Jenny, Julien Eustache and Andy Gohl really enjoyed every single minute on it!
It was a dazzling display of tricks, with 2 sunset shootings in the deserted resort rounding off the successful session in Klausberg.
But pictures speak louder than words, so check out the gallery and stay tuned for the video coming this fall!
