FISCHER SIGNS SVEN KUEENLE TO INTERNATIONAL FREESKI TEAM
The Backcountry is Sven’s favorite stage - the 28-year-old could already celebrate respectable video parts like his appearances in TGR’s ”One for the Road“ and “Light the Wick” the Legs of Steel production ”Nothing Else Matters“
Currently he is working on the next “Legs of Steel” film project, supported by Fischer Sports from now on. ”I am very excited to be skiing with Fischer. I have always thought that Fischer make great products, and I am especially excited to ski the rockered backcountry skis“ Sven said.
And also Fischer Sports is looking forward to working together with Sven. Sebastian Huber, Fischer’s Freestyle Team Manager Europe, explains: ”Any time you can add a skier of Sven’s caliber to your team, you do it. We already had a very interesting freeride team around, but Sven and his fusion of freeride and freestyle skills just makes it better. I know he will be a great ambassador for our brand.“
About: Sven Kueenle
Since clearing the notorious „Mausefalle“ jump on the famous Hahnenkamm downhill in Kitzbühel with a backflip, Sven Kueenle is also recognized beyond the world of freeskiing. This excursion to the „Streif“ was kind of like a retrospective experience into alpine skiing for Sven, having quit the racing circuit to focus on freeskiing many years ago. And freeskiing is what now rules the life of the 27-year-old, who was born in Stuttgart in Southwestern Germany. In recent years Sven had even left the Alps part time in order to spend his winters in Canada. If he is not traveling to the best freeskiing spots in the world for contests or filming, he splits his living between Munich and the USA. The impressions Sven has taken from the different cultures he has travelled to have influenced both his lifestyle and his skiing. There are two things in life which inspire Sven, the people around him and skiing! “Every day spent skiing is a highlight on it’s own”, he says and reveals his biggest dream as a freeskier: “Skiing one full season in fresh powder every day!“
